Affinity Fostering don’t use the term ‘family’ lightly and our thriving team of foster carers in Kent are one such example. Kent is considered the Garden of England, a place where we grow and produce some of the country’s finest produce.
It’s also where Affinity’s team help to nurture young people to grow and get support they desperately need. With local support personnel and the opportunity to attend events with other local foster carers, the Affinity ethos helps to produce fantastic foster families.
This is where it began, our head office is in Ingatestone, Essex. We have an excellent local support system with Supervising Social Workers and Child Participation and Support Leaders in place to support our growing family. Just down the road from our head office is the Remus Horse Sanctuary which we have held money raising events for, and are looking forward to rearranging our Affinity Family Day Out there.
We have an amazing group of foster families in Lincolnshire! The local support team including the Supervising social workers, plus a Children’s Participation and Support Leader. They are all from Lincolnshire so they understand the surroundings and local culture. Lincolnshire is rich in history, from the Magna Carta through to the pivotal role the area played in WW2 there is never a shortage of things for our support team to get the young people in our care involved in.
The Lincolnshire foster family is continually expanding, and the management team take part in regular keeping in touch (KIT) days. We hold regular training sessions and support groups in different parts of Lincolnshire as it is such a large county. For the children we run events such as craft days and our Halloween parties are very popular!
We have an established and friendly large group of foster carers in London which we are looking to grow. Our Supervising Social Workers and Child Participation and Support Leaders are on hand to provide activities and support. We hold regular training sessions, support groups, and the senior management team organise regular keeping in touch days locally so foster carers can drop in.
